A journey to the Northern part of Myanmar
Hello every viewers of my blog! My name is Pan. I'm a beginner of blogging. I would like to share some information about the Northern Part of Myanmar. When you heard the name of Myanmar, you might see vividly the busy and hot city life of Yangon or the ancient city Bagan. You might not know you can see snow and can experience snow boarding and skating in a nature snow mountain, not done by people. Let's explore and find it out.
Mount Khakaborazi
Mount Khakaborazi is the Southeast Asia’s highest mountain and is located in the northern Myanmar State of Kachin. The elevation of this mountain is 5,881 meters (19,294 feet). It has extended from the range of Himalaya. The coordinates are 28°19'59"N. The peak is enclosed with Khakaborazi national park.It is entirely mountainous and is characterized by broad-leaved evergreen rain forest, a sub-tropical temperate zone from 8,000 feet to 9,000 feet (2,438 meters to 2,743 meters), then broad-leaved, semi-deciduous forest and finally needle-leaved evergreen, snow forest. Above 11,000 feet (3,353 meters) the highest forest zone is alpine, different not only in kind from the forest, but different in history and origin. Still higher up, around 15,000 feet (4,572 meters), cold barren windswept terrain and permanent snow and glaciers dominate. At around 17,500 feet (5,334 meters), there is a large ice cap with several outlet glaciers.
